care catalyst

Partnering with care systems to deliver trauma-Informed, stigma-free, harm reduction-based care across clinical specialties

The C.A.R.E. Catalyst organizational coaching program helps care systems transform how they respond to mental health and substance use challenges, embedding trauma-informed, harm-reduction practices that reduce stigma and improve real-world outcomes. Our approach baselines current operations and provides a strategic plan that centers on the client to deliver Compassionate, Accessible, Responsive, and Equitable (C.A.R.E.) services.

Our model harnesses our expertise in systems-level policy, lived experience, and public health research to empower clinical teams, administrators, and support staff to dismantle structural and interpersonal barriers to care. This approach helps organizations improve patient engagement, increase provider satisfaction by reducing compassion fatigue and burnout, and institutionalizes equity in clinical practice, ultimately creating a more inclusive and effective healthcare environment.

This program was originally developed in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Public Health, focused on enhancing HIV care in Pennsylvania. Our model harnesses Elevyst’s expertise in systems-level transformation, lived experience, and primary research to empower teams, leadership, and staff to address structural and interpersonal barriers to compassionate, accessible, responsive, and equitable (C.A.R.E.) service.

Our approach delivers measurable improvements in patient engagement, care quality, reduces provider burnout and compassion fatigue, and operationalizes equity in practice resulting in more effective care delivery, improved workforce retention, and better systems outcomes.
